The maternity photo session will focus on your baby bump and capture the loving bond between the expectant parents and/or family. My maternity photo sessions mostly take place outdoors as it’s wonderful to show off your bump in sunshine and nature.
The type of pregnancy photoshoot you choose will likely be dictated by the time of year and the weather.
My outdoor maternity photoshoots are available almost all year round. It’s only in the winter that I generally don’t shoot maternity outdoors. I imagine you’d rather be in the warmth and comfort of the studio at that time of year!
Naturally, when the weather is good, my outdoor maternity sessions are very popular, and it’s clear why. Open space and a natural setting are lovely to have as a photoshoot backdrop.

These images represent all you have gone through and will go through, and you can feel good knowing that you are celebrating every point of your body, no matter how you feel, how you look or how you think about how you look. Maternity photos are a celebration of the journey your body is undertaking.
Wear comfortable clothes, a dress or material to rap around you. Long veils or light materials add a great effect. Don’t forget to get hubby to dress nicely. If you wish, you can bring some props along: balloon, cute baby grow, baby shoes, chalkboard, name blocks…
